The jpg files appear to be the correct size on the disk (approximately 4MB each), but I can not open them in software such as Preview (Mac) or Gimp. I tried using PhotoRec (6.14) on both images, but was unable to recover any files (I searched for jpg, mov, and tif files). I immediately made two images of the card on my Mac (OS X 10.7.4 - lion), one read only and the other read/write. The SD card (from a Nikon D5100 camera) was originally inserted into a card reader on a Win7 machine which downloaded the mov files but not the jpeg files and deleted all files on the card. However, as in similar posts, I am unable to open the jpg or mov files. I have used TestDisk (6.14) to undelete a number of jpg and mov files from a disk image of my SD card.
